What are the online services offered by Ghana Government Online Service Portal?

Answer: Following are the online services offered by Ghana Government:
• Passport Office – Apply Online for a Passport
• Ghana Tourist Authority - Application for Registration and Licensing of Accommodation / Catering Establishment
• Births and Deaths Registry - Apply for Birth Certificate
• Ghana Police Service - Application for Finger Print Check / Nominal Vetting
• Food and Drugs Board - Application for Registration as Food Product Importer
• Driver & Vehicle Licensing Authority –
a) Renew a Driving License
b) Vehicle Ownership Transfer
• Accra Metropolitan Assembly - Request for Marriage License
• Minerals Commission –
a) Apply for Land Search
b) Apply for Prospecting/Reconnaissance License

What is the best way to access the Ghana Government Online Services Portal?

Answer: Site best viewed in Internet Explorer 7 & 8 browsers, with screen resolutions of 1024*768 & 1280*1024.​

How to register to the Ghana Government Online Services Portal?

Answer: Using the link “Register” displayed at the top right header section of the portal. It will display the Registration Form and users have to provide all the required information while registering to the portal.​

How to login to the Ghana Government Online Services Portal?

Answer: Using the link “Sign in” displayed at the top right header section of the portal. It will display the Login window and users have to provide the Username and Password as created at the time of registration to login to the Portal.​

How to recover the password if forgot?

Answer: Using the link “Forgot Password” displayed on Login window. On clicking “Forgot Password” link, users have to provide their Username and Hint Question with the Answer as provided at the time of registration.​

How to view User Profile?

Answer: On clicking the link “User Home” displayed at the top right header section. It will display the User Home section with the followings:
• My Applications: To view the list of applications for the services.
• My Profile: To view and update the user profile.
• Change Password: To change the Current Password.​

How to change the current password?

Answer: On clicking the link “User Home” displayed at the top right header section. It will display the User Home section with the followings:
• My Applications: To view the list of applications for the services.
• My Profile: To view and update the user profile.
• Change Password: To change the Current Password.

How to access the Ghana Government Portal Online Services and Other Services?

Answer:
 To access the Portal Online Services follow below steps:
• Select the desired MDA under the “Select by MDA” section displayed on Portal Home page.
• It will be redirected to the selected MDA Home page.
• On selecting the service under the “Online Services” section, it will redirect to the MDA Online Services site.
E.g. 
• Go to “Select by MDA” section displayed on Portal Home page.
• Now click on link “Accra Metropolitan Assembly”, it will redirect to the Accra Metropolitan Assembly home page with the online services offered.
• Now click on the link “Request for Marriage License” under the “Online Services” section, it will redirect to the AMA Online Services site where user can fill the application form. Also can check the Application details with the Application status.
 To access the Portal Other Services follow below steps:
• Select the desired MDA under the “Select by MDA” section displayed on Portal Home page.
• It will be redirected to the selected MDA Home page.
• On MDA Home page following are the others services offered:
o Downloadable Forms - On clicking the links provided under the “Downloadable Forms” section, related forms can be accessible.
o Area of Interest - On clicking the links provided under the “Area of Interest” section, related Articles can be accessible.
o Guidelines for filling Forms - On clicking the links provided under the “Guidelines for filling Forms” section, related guidelines can be accessible.
o News Updates - On clicking the links provided under the “News Updates” section, related News details can be accessible.
o Announcements - On clicking the links provided under the “Announcements” section, related Announcements details can be accessible.
o Surveys - On clicking the links provided under the “Surveys” section, related Surveys details can be accessible. Also user can provide the feedback against selected Survey using the link “Respond to this survey”.
o Guestbook - On clicking the link “Guestbook” displayed at the footer section, comments posted on Guestbook can be accessible. Also user can post comment to Portal Administrator using the “Post Comment” option.
o Suggestions - On clicking the link “Suggestions” displayed at the footer section, user can post suggestions to Portal Administrator using the “Post Suggestion” option.
o Bulletin Board - On clicking the link “Bulletin Board” displayed at the footer section, user can access the discussion forum.
o Search – User can search for the portal contents using the Search option displayed at the top of the portal right section.

How to fill the Application Form for a service?

Answer: To fill the Application Form for a service follow the below steps:
• Select the desired MDA under the “Select by MDA” section displayed on Portal Home page.
• It will be redirected to the selected MDA Home page.
• Now on selecting the service under the “Online Services” section, it will redirect to the MDA Online Services site.
• Using the link “New Application” in the left frame section, user can fill the Application form.
• Also refer the “Guidelines for filling Application Form” section for while submitting the Application Form.

When to re-submit the Application Form for any service?

Answer: If the Application Status is set as “Additional Information Required” then clicks on the “EDIT” ICN displayed against the submitted Application under the “My Application” section. It will display the Application form with the prefilled data and users have to provide additional information as mentioned by the MDA.​

How to check the status of submitted Application for any service?

Answer: There are two ways to check the status of submitted Application:
• On clicking the link “My Application” on the MDA Online Services site.
• On clicking the link “My Application” under the User Home section.

How to check submitted Application details for any service?

Answer: On clicking the “Application Number” link displayed under My Application section on the MDA Online Services site.​

How to increase the font size of the page on browser?

Font size of the page on browser can be increased using the Zoom option at the local browser.

Step 1. Go to Main Menu as "View" of the browser

Step 2. Then select option as "Zoom"

Accessing the eServices Portal on different Browsers
  1. Site best viewed in Internet Explorer 7 or above, Firefox 3.6 or above, Google Chrome 19 or above, Safari 5.0 +, with screen resolution of 1024*768 & above.
  2. However site can be viewed in other browsers as Opera by selecting the setting to "Identify as Internet Explorer" on “Edit Site Preferences” section.
  3. Support for access of eServices Portal on other browsers will be coming periodically in near future.
Accessing the eServices Portal from Mobile Devices

While accessing the eServices portal from mobile devices, use of Internet Explorer and Firefox browser is recommended. If you are unable to access the site using your default browser, you can download the related browsers on your mobile device.

We will continuously be working to offer support for various mobile browsers and shall be providing related information in the FAQ.
 
You can access the general information on the portal using mobile devices through supported browsers. It is recommended that any activity after the registration and login like filling online forms etc. should be carried using laptops / desktops.

Accessing eServices Portal on latest versions of Internet Explorer (like IE 11)

​While browsing the site on latest browsers from Microsoft like Internet Explorer 11, if you observe any issue like errors or repeated login prompts, please add the www.eServices.gov.gh site in Compatible View Sites in Internet Explorer. 

To add the site in Compatibility View Settings, click on Tools option (or gear icon on top right hand side). 

Select the Compatibility View Settings option and add the site in by clicking on the Add button. 

Then click on Close button.
